About This Blog

This is a 52 week blog project. In the year 2000, I made a 4x6” postcard each day to record my life for that year. In January 2001, I had an exhibition, 366 Days, in Ann Arbor, MI showing the entire year of 2000. Ten years later, in 2010, living in Phoenix, AZ, I decided to collect a small object (about 1x1”) a day and pin them to a wall calendar. The 2010 project has never been shown. Although ten years separate the two projects, there are many similarities. But as we all know, a lot can happen in 10 years, and many differences are also evident. How do my days of the past relate to the present day? How do they relate to your day?

This blog will show each week of both years, a decade apart. A new week will be published every Sunday, or soon thereafter, that coincides with the current week in 2011. Week 1 starts on Feb. 20, because I did not think of the idea until mid February 2011. The project was originally intended to take a year to finish and would have ended in February of 2012.

Note: The blog will take more than a year to complete. See Week 26 for half year comments. See Week 41 for the extension explanation. The blog will end when I get to Week 52!
